Any Advice for getting FoW Armor?
Hey, i'm posting this in search of some advice to a way to get a set of FoW armor for my Warrior. I've been trapping the Underworld for months now but havent even been able to come up even 1/4th of how much I need to buy the whole set.
I know there are some people that have several sets of FoW and I am left scratching my head...do any of you guys have any advice on getting the armor set without taking years to farm for it?
Thanks.

Save up all your money and buy the ecto's when the price is low. Like about 2-3 month's ago, 1 ecto was sold for 6 - 6.5K now it's 8 - 9K.
Also you can do the solo runs for UW and FoW, so all the drops are yours, that's the only way m8.
Good luck

You and the rest of the non-ebaying community.
If you consider that an ecto drops so rarely in FoW/UW, you may be better off finding a good farming spot and farming some easy plat

My advice which you can choose to not take because i dont have any fissure armor or any of that.
Powerbuy, buy a crystalline for 100k, and put 20/20 mods and such and and sell for 100k and 50 ecto, after a while these will really add up.
just how i earned my money and ectos

flame baiting eh?
to the op: find good solo builds (there are many) or good 2-man builds (again there are many), and farm it up this weekend
sorry I don't have any secret to share, because there is no secret to obtaining shards an ectos. Work and skill, and time.

No need to be part of ebay community to have lots of money and obsidian armors... I have money and obsidian armors, more than one, and i'm not certainly the only one. You just need to find your way to get money, like selling or farming.

I 2 man uw a lot and solo bazaar. I've gotten lots of golds there, including multiple sup vigs. I also play the market a lot. Buy low/Sell high. That takes a lot of patience though. Regardless, getting fow will take some time.

In total, it costs around 1.4 million, and around 2 million for a warrior -- if you outright buy all your materials. That may sound like a lot, but really it's not. Some general rules about making money:
Know your high-value merch drops. If a blue armor drops, ID it anyway. It might have a minor vigor or a radiant insignia on it. Those add up very fast.
Know your rare weapons. A req 13 colossal scimitar is worth way more than a req 8 machete. Those rare drops will make you rich.
Know your salvages. Some things will salvage into rare crafting materials. Those can be used for yourself, or sold to players for far more than the value of the weapon.
Sell all the junk to the merchant! This will make you more money than everything else combined. In a high-level area, it's not uncommon to fill your inventory with non-max white weapons that are utterly worthless except for the 50-100g you get from the merchant.

Selling all the "crap" you have sitting in storage/mules is a good way to make gold. I've gotten about 400k worth of gold from about 1/3 of my items that were just sitting there collecting dust.

yeah these are all good ideas...but heres a very easy and fun way to get FoW armor.
One word(well three but abbreviated its one) DoA.
An example of how good this is, is yesterday I made well over 100k in just one run...A gloom foundry run but still...and that was only from the gems. If I had gotten a green drop I would have made lots more plus all the chests with gold drops and so forth.

If you have a 55 monk with SoJ, you can farm the Tusked Howlers/Hunters. In 2 days, I managed to raise 100k. Whisp me in game if you want any tips or the build I use. IGN-> Healing Ipo

What's your GPH (gold per hour) farming that? I thought it wasn't exceptionally high, maybe 5k gph?

Worst advice I ever heard, never add mods to item when you buy and sell, it is a waste of money. You should buy items that are cheap and that can be resold for higher amount. If poeple are buying the item they shouldnt care about extra mods.
